E James Paris

E James Paris is a multi-talented songwriter, recording artist, musician, producer, filmmaker, and author with a career rooted in live performance, original music, and the preservation of American musical history.

A multi instrumentalist, Paris has performed with legendary acts including The Coasters, The New Christy Minstrels, and The Darrell Mansfield Band, as well as on PBS-televised John Denver tribute productions. His work has also taken him behind the scenes of major music-industry events, including the 51st and 52nd Grammy Awards and MusiCares productions honoring some of music's most influential artists.

As a recording artist and songwriter, Paris continues to write and record original music while collaborating with accomplished musicians. His creative relationship with legendary Motown Funk Brother Jack Ashford has resulted in releases of EJ's music with Jack's famous tambourine playing on “Motown Hitsville USA,” “The Spirit Moves Through It,” and “I Was A Wishin' I Was A Fishin'.” In 2026, Paris also scored music for the movie trailer for "Monaco Manuver" and my song is featured on the "The Drought Revealed What Was Hidden Beneath This Lake For Decades" episode of the youtube channel, "Dig That Beep".

Paris is currently producing the film and music for "The Spirit Moves Through It" documenting the legacy of Jack Ashford and the Motown Funk Brothers, scheduled for release in 2027 IMDb. His previous film-production work includes "Shark Lake", starring Dolph Lundgren.

An author as well as a musician, Paris wrote "Jumpstart Guitar Arrangement — Method for Songwriters" music book and "A Cat Named Steve and a Dog Named Doug" music themed story book. Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
